Subject: RE: [Amel] 220 Volt engine room fan not working - FIXED I just uploaded 3 pictures of the fan in the engine room. I don't know if all Super Maramu are the same, but for sure NIKIMAT SM2K #289 has a 220 Volt, followed by a 24 Volt (not 12 volt). The 24 Volt is a FASCO (I know Eric, so closed to JABSCO). As far as I know, the 220 Volt is connected to the Genset and the 24 volt to the Engine. My 220 Volt is working. As I previously wrote, haven't check the 24 volt. Hope this helps, sincerely, Alexandre --------------------------------------------

I will do that later on this week. Kind of strange setup but it works. When the genset is on the 220 volt fan blows the exhaust through the 12 volt fan. When the engine is on the 12 volt fan sucks the air through the 220 volt fan. I believe there is a solenoid that operates the 220 volt exhaust fan. You might check that. You either put a resistor on a line to the fans from the 24 volt out put from the charger or an alternator on the gen set. When we replaced the Onan with Bata Marine it came with a small alternator that now charges the starting battery and runs the fans. Good luck.
