Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Swim Ladder
Terry,
As a fellow diver, I do not think the passerelle/swim ladder is not suitable to board the vessel with diving gear. This is an option I plan to install:

It is deep. It can be climbed while wearing fins. It is easily dismounted for stowage in the lazarette while underway.
A modification to the stern bumper is required but doesn’t seem very extensive.
Hope this helps
Best regards,
Mark

Terry,
Do you have the Amel combination passerelle/swim ladder which when not in use hangs from the starboard quarter on brackets made for it? Do you need a photo?

We are looking to solve a problem of how to board Libby from the water. We are both divers and swimmers and apart from a very un-secure third party ladder that hangs from the gunnel we have no good secure way of boarding the boat after a swim or with heavy diving gear. We are prepared to have some custom stainless work done but have no really good design ideas. The transom is the ideal spot, but limited space is challenging. Suggestion or thoughts would be gratefully appreciated.
