Hi Willem,

by adhesive I mean a contact glue. The type that you apply normally to both
surfaces, allow to dry for about 15 minutes then press together. A common
brand in the UK is called Bostik, though on Crusader I have a tin of
something else, but I forget its name. I guess they are all much the same.

I hope that helps.

No problem Bob. As you know, when you 'are out there' and things go wrong,
have to improvise if you don't have the part, and the adhesive I found
very well.

Incidentally I have found the same problem with the main sheet traveller
times. The rope seems to shrink and stretch with the climate and if you
the rope too much, it can be tough to move the traveller when the rope
So I keep it on the slack side and stop it slipping with a little
adhesive. It
may help me keep sailing a few years longer!

All the best
