I think the answer that you are looking for is capacitors do not have a polarity orientation. If you know where the two wires connected originally, you know all you need.

The capacitor on my 220v low pressure water maker pump went poof. I have purchased a replacement but the original does not seem to have any markings.  Does it matter which way I wire the new capacitor and if so does anybody know how the replacement should be wired.
