Eric, Is there not at least one turnbuckle , where it attaches to the main mast? If not, could you afford to shift the main mast forward , bringing the mizzen with it . Does the mizzen's bend aft start above the lower shrouds or is there a bow, if there is a bow then maybe the aft lower shrouds could be tightened, the apparent effect would be that the top had moved forward. Just a thought. Pat

Is it plumb from the spreader down? If you tighten the lower back stays and loosen the lower fore stays, that would bring the lower part of the mast forward a little and straighten it if the top doesn't move??? It might make the whole mast lean forward a little, but I doubt enough that you could see it.
