Subject: [Amel Yacht Owners] Painting deck stripes
couple of years
Following the advice posted here by Harmonie a
we painted the deck stripes on Excalibur lastNovember. Excalibur
years old, and in need of deck attention (weprobably scrub the
too much!!)for those who want
I have posted some pictures on this web site
see what it looks like, (before and after). Weare very pleased
the results. We used the Embee striper, asrecommended, and one-
polyurethane paint (50% brown, 50% black). Ittook 6 days at 3
per day for the decks, and 2 days for the cockpit. After letting
paint dry for a few days, we coated all thesurfaces with Polytrol,
French product recommended by Mr. Selo at Amel. The decks look
new. The picture of the re-painted forward deckareas show before-
after of applying Polytrol.me.
Any questions on how to do this, please contact
