It is not correct,
AMFA re-dessign the pump and the new dessign integrate a new gear.
Parts are not the same between old and new !

I replaced mine a few years ago with a Jabsco pump.  It pumps a little more water, is a little louder, and has worked flawlessly.  I had to build a small shelf to locate it where the old one was.
