Yep, the darn Link 10 is a poor piece of equipment and the Link 10 manual should get the award for the "worst written technical document ever published." I cannot imagine how someone whose first language is not English could ever understand this manual. I read it, re-read it, and re-read it again...I never understood it!
I guess that you have a malfunction, but before I would replace it, I would look at the shunt on the negative side of the batteries...I would loosen the connections to it, brush some corrosionX on the terminals and tighten back up. If everything is not perfectly connected at the shunt, you will have weird readings.
If that does not work, at least you are in the land of a thousand choices and all of them deliverable in a day! ;)
