I was very worried about that possibility but this time I did not glue to top foam and it was clear that the water is entering in a gap that forms between the lip-seal and the shaft. Only a few teaspoons per wave but that is enough to collect a good amount of water over time. I am convinced that the shaft is not aligned with the lip seal and that creates a small gap in the seal which is too stiff to accommodate the small displacement of the shaft. I am searching for a softer lip seal.
