Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Exhaust Fan for Cabin - Opinions?

I have often used a box fan dockside for moving a lot of air through a boat. I normally set the fan at one end of the boat in the exhaust mode and then open a hatch for inlet air wherever the people are in the boat to bring the coolest air in. This technique works especially well in the evenings to cool a boat that has been sitting in the sun all day and can make the difference between being miserable all night or having a good nights sleep. The constant white noise of the fan I find makes sleeping easier with traffic up and down the docks etc. Also, if you use screens to filter the inlet air, this arrangement seems to help remove the mosquitos or other biting bugs from the boat. Like yourself, I would like to find a DC version of a box fan so hopefully there will be some additional suggestions.
