Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Island Pearl II - 2001 - SM2000 #332 For sale
Sorry to hear such sad news. We all know how much time, research and preparation goes into making such a plan happen.
I'm sure you have already looked into the many solutions available for preventing motion sickness. If you have not, I would suggest taking a serious look at the multitude of options available. We have had several guests on board that have been extremely susceptible to motion sickness, some to the point that they could not even be in a car if the road had any type of curves. We have been able to successfully sail with them through planning and the use of many options available.
Also, time is a great asset, when it comes to preventing motion sickness. Our bodies adjust with time, so may be some additional time in concert with available solutions and picking easy cruising plans may be another option that would be worth giving a try.
I know motion can be debilitating and an extremely unpleasant feeling, especially if it continues for days and I really do understand how your wife must feel. I just wanted to throw in some options, as the joys of cruising the worlds oceans is a great incentive to overcome the challenges.
