Hi Bill,

I guess I am a group of 1. In 2001, I talked Jean-Jacques into installing all Raymarine equipment except for the SSB and Weatherfax with navtex..  I believe I created the first Red Line even though my boot stripe was the Amel orange.

My Raymarine products have been working perfectly. My VHF has a handset at the nav station and one at the helm.

I have had Raymarine ,, Raytheon, Autohelm products on 4 boats now and I am very satisfied with the products and service.

I hate to make this comment, but I have always had bad experience with Raymarine VHF - handheld or standard. They make great autopilots.

Hi Duane,

I had a problem like that.  I replaced the wire to the masthead and all was well.  The range is now much bigger.   Maybe that is worth trying for you..
