HI, On Kimberlite, there is also a time delay switch in the transfer box that “waits” a few seconds before energizing the transfer relay. It is similar to the ones in the climma AC units.That might be your problem. Fair Winds Eric Kimberlite Amel Super Maramu #376

The switch has checked out perfectly. The shore power (quai) contractors are normally closed, and the generator contactors are normally open. when the generator starts, the shore contactors are disconnected and the generator contactors are connected.
With nothing connected, the shore power contactors are indeed closed, so the fault is not here.
I have now made a continuity test from the shore power lead plug, to the contactors in this box. The live (active) connection is showing 180ohms! (The neutral less than 1).
Now, next thing to test, the shore power cable ... geez, it wasn’t even touched since Monday !
