Thanks Eric, it went well and fast using a router. Didn't do much for the bit ,probably trash that. Problem now is getting the SS nipple unscrewed from the end of the car, so that I can slide out the shaft to replace the broken springs. The one side came unscrewed easily , port side is seized , SS. and Aluminum ,not good.
