Thanks Olivier For info, the galley extractor uses a Plastimo 16275 (dated 2008, so probably installed by the yard). It’s rated 2A, 150m^3/h (88 cfm) so quite a bit less than the engine room blower (150 cfm). I did hope for some redundancy there and might decide to implement it. Best, Thomas GARULFO A54-122 Panama

Amel indeed installed the heavy duty ones in the engine room and the 35440 for the galley exhaust. Yours may have been replaced since the boat is built with a normal one, just because the heavy duty one was not available. Or maybe the 35440 was originally installed because of a lack of the heavy duty ones (AMEL also had/has to face supply failures sometimes). However, the inlet blower is the most exposed to salty air, and it may not be wise to install the most expensive there... Bon courage. Olivier |
