Hi Kent. Can you take a few snap shots? Several elements in play here and seeing the challenge would be helpful for an accurate diagnosis.
Good on Iris for having a keen eye out....

Hi all,
Iris just discovered a radial pattern of hairline cracks in the gelcoat on the toe rail just inboard of the port forward main shroud, and a chip of gelcoat loose at it's forward end.

No similar findings at other shrouds.  The chain plate doesn't move with hand pressure on the shroud.  All shrouds have similar tension by feel, Amel tight...

Is this something to be concerned about?  What might be the cause?

Thanks for your thoughts.
