Hi Laurens, no it doesn't get slippery. The restorer soaks in and I applied it thinly with a rag, rubbing it in. The original GRP "grain" grip effect is retained. I think it would be a mistake to apply it thickly. Regards Danny SM 299 Ocean Pearl
