The block that causes the issues is the middle one where the main sheet attaches.
After a few failures of this block and the shenanigans of removing blocks and sliding new ones in, we had a solid aluminium piece made just for the main sheet traveller attachment and had it welded on to the underside of the boom. Other model Amels have exactly this arrangement.
Our mainsheet traveller block is attached with a dyneema loop and we have had this arrangement in place for about 6 years now.
