Hi All,
We need to replace our Genoa sheets currently 16mm braided polyester.  We are considering 14mm spectra at twice the breaking strain but also twice the price of 16 mm polyester.
 
As a former racing sailor spectra to me is as natural as breathing.  Clearly the polyester's is strong enough as hasn't broken, just badly worn.  Would appreciate your thoughts as to line handling etc.
