You could separate the generator part from the Kubota. If the motor then turns then the problem is with generator part…. And vice versa.
When I bought Amelia the genset was 
Solid. The source of the problem was a fitting near the high pressure pump of the watermaker. A very fine salty mist was trashing the genset and both chargers. 
I replaced the lot including the tiny WM fitting.

I took out the glow plugs and then the injectors and still frozen.  A strong man tried to turn the crank with a very large wrench, and it was solid—no movement what so ever.  Does anyone have any ideas what could be the cause.  I didn’t shut the water off at the generator but only at the main intake, so it is possible that it sucked some water from other things.  The muffler had only about a quarter cup or less of water in it.

 

The generator is an Onan 6.5 KW MDKAL  with about 5000 hours.  Does anyone have a recommendation for a replacement?
