Here is an update on the IB5076 sensor. Firstly, it IS available so the information previously advised on this site that it was not, is incorrect. Secondly, an alternative replacement is the IB5124. This is the same diameter but uses only two wires instead of three as with the IB5076. I used the IB5124 sensor only because I had to wait for a delivery from Germany for the IB5076 while the alternative was readily available. The price was similar.

Since the IB5076 has three wires and the IB5124 has two, the brown wire being the positive supply to the sensor was not used. Instead, I found the black wire also a positive (assuming from the gauge to the sensor) connected to the 1/3 terminal on the sensor, the blue negative connected to the 2/4 terminal on the sensor. This is a normally open circuit as with the IB5076 and provided the correct reading in both directions at the instrument gauge.
