Sorry to hear about your furler problem. We have not had any leaking from Genua furler and I do not believe that leaking is normal; seems a seal has failed. On our SM 72 there is not a grease fitting. When we replaced our main furler motor, we used a silicone based grease on the gearing and expect that is good for all the gearing systems except for the windlass which uses oil. How has your trip been going? Regards, Bill and Trudy Leonore of Sark

I see there is a nipple on top where I could refill. Does someone know if that is the solution and if so what should I put in there? Kindest Regards Caspar Sueno Azul SM 39 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |
