Re: [Amel] Draining of water from chain locker

We had problem with a lot of water in left chain locker 1991 SM and after replacing the chain pipe (hawser) it was still filling with water and found that where the electrical cable goes thru to the chain locker the fibreglass had totally disintegrated - had this reglassed and now a DRY chain locker.

Hi, thanks for the info. When you look at the bottom of your chain locker there
is or should be a 20 mm hole that attaches to a hose that runs through the boat
to the bilge. Normally there is an on/off valve be sure it open if you wish it
to drain. Also check the chain pipe leading to the locker to be sure it is not
worn.
Good luck

Hi once again,

when cleaned my Chain locker earlier this week (highly recommended to do this -

lots of surprises there) have found out that:
1. access is terrible - believe (hope) there is a good reason for this.
2. that I have no clue where the water are drained from...
3. actually I found a clue which is a hole on the left side of the boat, but
not

sure is the one - can anyone confirm?
4. again have no clue how to clean the draining (the whole way) - does anyone
have an idea?

hope someone could assist with it...

gooday

Belit
