Can anyone share their experiences with the fuel injector pump (mine is a Bosch, I believe) on the "Volvo" TMD 22a. It appears mine is not achieving the approprate psi.

by adhesive I mean a contact glue. The type that you apply normally to both surfaces, allow to dry for about 15 minutes then press together. A common brand in the UK is called Bostik, though on Crusader I have a tin of something else, but I forget its name. I guess they are all much the same. I hope that helps. Regards Ian

have to improvise if you don't have the part, and the adhesive I found worked very well. Incidentally I have found the same problem with the main sheet traveller at times. The rope seems to shrink and stretch with the climate and if you tighten the rope too much, it can be tough to move the traveller when the rope shrinks. So I keep it on the slack side and stop it slipping with a little adhesive. It may help me keep sailing a few years longer! All the best Ian Quoting minaxi53 <no_reply@yahoogroups.com>:

a simple fix for a slipping outhaul rope that I have found works well is to paint the rope with a coat of contact adhesive. Only the part that runs around the capstan needs to be painted of course. Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Outhaul
Robin Cooter <robincooter@...>
From experience one of the key factors is how you
attach the line to the car. I secure the outhaul end (the end which is under tension when the sail is out)with a knot - fisherman's bend is favourite because it doesn't slip - and sew or whip the "loose" end for extra security. I then take the weight on that end so I have maximum slack to tie the other end. You can't work a fisherman's bent tight enough so use a round turn and two half hitches, pulling up as tight as you can and whipping or sewing the end. I have been amazed at how much a knot will give when load is repeatedly applied and released. I would have preferred a self-tacking staysail. I guess most potential owners of the 54 will not be doing much upwind sailing though...

There are down wind poles now set at the base of the mast. (I believe they are optional) you also get a Gennaker (optional?).
