OK… 

In this case, add 2.05 meters to the 65 foot 2 mast height.  

You’ll like the SM and if the wallet can stand a big refit, the comfort is better.  We bought a “lightly” used (9300 nm under the keel) 26 yo SM with many of the high cost work done.  (Engine, genset, standing rigging an masts/booms.)  Then we redid the interior to 2015 standards including the electronics.  Our old 007 is absolutely magnificent with more modern AC (we chose Webasto), new soft goods/mattresses, cockpit enclosure and water maker.

We’re ready and leaving wintering grounds prob on Sat 28th Apr… come on world!!!

thanks JP, we also changed now the engine and transmission mounts, engine vibrations are gone, but the vibration of the propellor is still there if we are "sailing fast", but now it starts when sailing more than ~ 7,3 knots, below that no vibrations. when these vibrations start we put in the reverse gear to avoid the propellor spinning. we will not takle any more action on that.

Gary,

It was a while ago.

However I believe they were just regular O tings. I would go to a hydraulic shop that does cylinders for bulldozers etc.  they have the big rings.

If you are in Sint Maarten, FKG has a great hydraulic shop. The also made me a hose for my stove covered in braided steel and then rubber.

They also made watermaker hoses for me with hydraulically swaged fittings and 2 hoses for the actuator on the brake.

Hi Eric:  Thanks for the confirmation of what I am seeing in the diagram concerning all the seals and hydraulic fluid being in the end nearest the brake pads.  From your experience were there just o-rings on that business end or were there lip or other types of more complex seals that I will need?

The curtain looks original to me. It zips to the fold-out canopy that comes off the hard dodger. It hangs straight down (bisecting the cockpit) and fastens to the cockpit floor, benches and coaming.  

 

I suppose I'll just have to replace them with standard metal ones though having used these plastic ones for a while now, I prefer them. Very elegant. Tres chic. And they break before you can ever rip the curtain material.

I left Kristy on the hard at Peakes in Chagauramas for a summer.  I rented an AC unit that mounts on the salon hatch.  I had a guy from Dynamite Che k it once a week, flush the Watermaker membranes. I left all cabinet doors and drawers closed.  The outside was filthy when I returned but the inside was exactly as I left it.

There's also a nice Morningstar Marina there, but far enough from town that you'd probably want a car.  The price is about the same, but Morningstar has nicer amenities, pool, and a great restaurant.  It is more exposed if a major storm were to land there.

Hi Ian.
There is a lift there, but it looked old and not well maintained last time I saw it a couple years ago.  There's a better place to haul out at Tiger Point Marina and boatyard a daysail South in Fernandina Beach, FL.  I would probably leave my boat in the water at Brunswick Landing.  Almost zero chance of getting a direct hurricane hit there and it is well protected.

Hold it down. The attach points are on the floor. Plus there are some on the benches and coaming.

I've visited a canvas shop and gone through fastener catalogues. No luck. Guess I'll try Amel.

That sounds like the original. Please describe where the plastic
fasteners are? Are you talking about the fasteners that hold the
zippered door up, or the fasteners that secure the cover down?

Without knowing exactly what you are talking about, I would first go
to a custom bimini shop and show them what you want. If that doesn't
work, take a photo of the specific part(s) and email it to
SAV"at"Amel.fr, asking for a quote on the items.

I happen to find C drive instructions written by Amel. These instructions apply to any boat from the Santorin to the 64. They are in French and English.

I also watched the Amel team in Martinique service a friends C Drive on an Amel 55.

I am not aware of any plastic fasteners used by Amel for any of the Amel made cockpit accessories on the Super Maramu.

As far as I know Amel made two enclosures for Super Maramus. One fastened at the top of the hard dodger where the Bimini tonneau cover attaches to stainless steel fasteners. The other cockpit enclosure made by Amel, zippered to the bimini and bimini side panels.

Do you have something the previous owner had made?
