Pilot bulb bilge pump

Hallo,
I had to replace the pilot bulb of the bilge pump on the 24v panel. The red cover was fixed with some silicon like stuff. What is the correct way to fix this cover? It is not staying in place without any 'help'.

I’ve seen 2 or 3 SMS having their decks gelcoated, usually in off white, in Guatemala. The one I examined closely, looked very good, and was cool enough to walk barefoot on in the tropical sun. The marina used a rolled out, molding technique that created a diamond pattern in the gelcoat.

Well, not saying what you say is not true but the fact is that Amel uses a double lip seal in the ingoing shaft for the C-drive according to the drawing. Who am I to argue with the people that designed the C-Drive.

The cause is that the chain builds up like a volcano then falls on itself, making it difficult to exit via the motor. Normally this volcano building is mitigated by the vertical wall in the middle of the chain locker. The ratcheting is caused by the built-in ratchet mechanism which is needed to operate the windlass manually. There is a longer version of this explanation, but it is boring.😀

If you research this topic on sailing sites, you’ll find some support for these devices but much more for solar panels.

If you have a shaft generator on your main engine, this unit is much more effficient.

But... it is your decision :-)

I'm currently hoping to purchase an Amel Mango in Split, Croatia. Right now, I am in Panama City and unable to get to Croatia in the next four weeks. I am hoping there be an Amel owner in Split or the surrounding area who might be able to take a look at her for me. I would be more than willing to pay an hourly rate for the time taken and cover any and all travel expenses. 

Also if anybody knows a respected marine surveyor in Croatia (perhaps Split) please do let me know.

Our XANTREX Akku Monitor on WASABI A54#55 does have 20 settings (Parameters). I played around with it last year and found out it is more a monitoring and alarming systems. So the settings are for example to set low/high voltage threshold, etc. The manual says that there are parameters which should be kept as default, and some important one can/should be adapted. 

I’m back on WASABI by mid of March and can send you the settings which I have on our AMEL-54. We can even talk on whatsup or Skype if you like.

THX for your quick response. But our´s square housing shaped Xantrex is in the product data sheet only as "Xantrex Akku Monitor" named. No "Link , Link Pro, Link Lite" or so.

I found in the Web the same manual as we have obviously on board, but the listing of values to adjust is little different as Wolfgang mentioned, regarding his LinkLite.
May be I can match these settings over on ours? It´s a Monitor, not a charging management, mhm?

If there is anybody in the Group who’s is familiar with same type of monitor, he is able to sent me the correct adjustments (24V), very much appreciated.
