Try looking again on the "Files" page of the Yahoo website. There
are two PDF files there - one called "Washer Dryer Diagrams" and one
called "Washer Dryer Manual". If you download the "...Manual" file,
you should get several pages of text.

I suppose there wouyld be no problem if the manufacturers copied the

Happy manual pumping ! John Hollamby
It is a good explanation, but I had never used the manual on switch
for the electric pump. I was and still am pumping the bilge "dry"
almost every day with the hand pump.

These are the little flapper valves inside the pump housing. The
problem is that the pump cycles normally, but moves no water. Mine
began to malfunction about 2 weeks after delivery. On disassembly by
the Amel agent in Lisbon they appeared to be perfectly normal, but
replacing them cured the problem, and has lasted 5 months now.

SM2000 for sale

Ian Shepherd <g4ljf@...>

My 2 1/2 year old SM 2000 "Crusader" (hull # 299) has unexpectedly become available for sale again. She is lying in Granada. She has been submerged to deck level for 54 hours, but has been thoroughly cleaned out. The hull is undamaged as she sank upright at a dock. She would make a good restoration project. I need $100,000 for her to enable me to purchase a new Amel.

If you are interested, please email me at g4ljf@...

Hello Walter.

I had to do this once in 2.25 years on Crusader. I have heard of similar problems from some other owners. The valves do not seem to be that well made and do not appear to have a positive enough closing. At least they are relatively easy to change.

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] shipping freight to La Rochelle

John Martin <jjmartin24@...>

I recently had to send my bow thruster to Amel for service. after calling UPS, and other services for prices I found they varied in cost between $180.00 and $ 250.00. I then took the package to the local post office who had me fill out a customs form and charged me $87.00. Amel had the bow thruster in a week. When Amel sent the unit back to me, they didn't use their Postal service so the cost was nearly $ 300.00 (through Emery). Go figure!!!

If any one is calling France or any other foreign country on a regular basis you may want to sign up with "Pennytalk." It costs nothing to join and pennies to call. You can call France for 2 cents a minute. I've been using them for years even calling Russia. Works great across the US too. Only drawback is you can't access if from outside the US. Their phone number is 1-877-638-2746 .

I have used UPS and the boxes were delivered to HYERES in less than 24 Hours
although the Hyeres depot is some where lost in Southern France. I am sure
that they deliver also in La Rochelle. You get very good price if you have a

Hello Hanspeter:

The weather is usually always good in Grenada. I do not know the
dimensions of the sail. Evidently Peter Grimm has done many of these
and has the dimensions and materials for the Maramu line of boats.
The cloth is 9.5 oz sailcloth (I presume Dacron) with UV sacrificial
white perimeter. It is a 110% jib. He has an e-mail address that I
can get for you if you are interested.
