Sounds like it might be Bali Hai (the Super Maramu not the Santorin). She was abandoned last year during a coast guard rescue  few hundred miles off Cape Hatteras.   I hope they find her again.

Hi Martin

No, according to Robins picture he installed on the original place where the Bosch, was above the toilet bowl. But still then it is very challenging to put in there. Especially to bring it down through the forward door. I think he had to final assemble the fixing bolts after moved it the forward head. Isn’t it Robin.

You will have fun finding a replacement. There are a few that you may be able to find with the same size.

I saw this at some point:

Bosch WLT24440

and/or Siemens WS12K440/WS10K460/WS10K160/WS10K360

But I’m not sure if they are still available

Bear in mind that Amel added some bolt-holes in the bottom to secure the machine.

Apparently you can remove the washer as one unit. The dryer needs to be taken apart completely in situ as it is too big.

The dryer was modified quite a bit by Amel. Basically they cut the lower back right corner off the machine and rerouted the exhaust through the bottom.

The dryer can still be obtained in the UK last time I checked:

White Knight C37AW 3 kg Dimensions  (H) 67 x (W) 50 x (D) 47cm (same machine, different brand)

White Knight C39AS 3.5 kg Dimensions: H67cm x W50cm x D47cm (bit more capacity because of reversing drum)

In my case I ended up replacing the heater element of the dryer as it was broken and repainting parts of both machines. They work fine now.

Bob,

I can't give you the exact number (we don't have an Onan anymore, and when we did, ours was a different model) but the label on the solenoid has the original number from the manufacturer for the solenoid, which is the one you need.  You might have some luck if you have the Onan part number for the specific part on your genset, and using that to look up cross reference numbers.

Re: Maintenance spreadsheet or software

I have used ShipShape Pro as an App on my iPad for years as my maintenance planning and recording program.  There is a bit of a learning curve (unless you are a database nerd) but it's worth it. You can save maintenance schedules, things that break, tracking of costs, photos, repairs, logs of trips and fuel, etc, etc.  I'd have to work REALLY cheap before it was worth my time to set up my own program to do all the things this program does...

Don't try to implement ALL of the features right at the start, but add them a bit at a time. If you are the OCD type you can use it to organize all your storage locations on the boat as well.  I am not that organized!

I don't know it it is available on other platforms, but it seems well suited to the iPad.

Thanks all, I know the breakers are very expensive,I don’t think I will be in one place long enough to get them from Maud. I was thinking about buying another brand of 25A breaker and wire it into the panel for now. I may substitute the heater breaker, however I think it may be weak as well.

A few weeks ago I needed a replacement and asked Amel for a quote for about half the quantity of my Diruptor request.

The quote from Amel came back at about the same price as we had received from Diruptor a couple years back and they had them in stock.

Betreff: Re: [AmelYachtOwners] washing machine and dryer for Amel 54
