I have photos of both pumps which I will post in "Dessalator Water Maker Service" in the photo section of this website in about an hour. I will attempt to get you sizes of the fittings attached. I did find out that the specs of the pump are: 230v 300w 900liters/hour and 3.5 bar of pressure and that a new pump from Dessalator is 802 Euros...that may make you feel better about your repair. Yes Richard I googled up Trinadad and found the price in the US was Xy as well. I also found a site here from the government pesticides & vetinary authority recalling all Trinadad antifoul, it diddn't say why, but I have a fair idea. We pay around 200-250 per 4liters for anti foul paint. Altex 5 is a New Zealand product.

Amel Marmu Questions
Philip
Hello,
My wife and I have an accepted offer for a 1985 46' Maramu Nirvana Ketch. It has mostly original equipment and rigging, including the electric furling on the head sail and main. This weekend we will be doing the sea trial and then the survey next week. We would greatly appreciate any advice about things to look for during the sea trial and survey. Are there things you, as owners, wished you had checked in advance? Are there maintenance or refit issues we should be prepared for? As long time and fairly long distance cruisers we are quite taken with the Amel, even if this one does not work out we will certainly look for another. Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions. -Phil Anacortes, WA

That should do the deed for you. It was an easy install out of the salt water manifold into a 30 micron filter and to the pre-high pressure pump to the high pressure pump. We also use a 10 micron charcoal filter before from the fresh water tank before the fresh water pressure system to be very sure we get NO chlorine into the membrane. Good luck.. Hey, I just realized that you were asking for a 220 volt pump what I had suggested was a 24 volt pump.. I don't have one with me now but if you look on the "Budget Marine" St. Martin web site they have a number of 220 volt pumps that will do the job. We use one for the AC flow it also has a cooling loop for the pump itself.. Sorry I don't have access to the catalog for more detail
