Re: [Amel] SM 2000 manuals for download
We have a Maramu, hull #29. We have a few friends who own SM's and one of them let me make a copy of the manuals.

Re: [Amel] twin headsails for downwind
Allessandro,
I think there's a good explanation on the website somewhere., Try searching the files section for "down wind" or "double headsail".
It's a bit of a hassle to put up, mostly

Alessandro,
If you would like, I can email you a copy of the original factory CD with the manual. It has detailed instructions. I'd be happy to show you in person but I suspect I won't be near your

Tanks, Mon,

Re: [Amel] Amel Service on East Coast of US
Hello Kent,
Thanks for your comment. Do you know if the Freedom was installed by Amel, or is it an after-market installation? Do you turn it on just for specific use or do you tend to leave it

Re: oil cooler
Hans-Joachim,
If you do have a cylinder type oil cooler with rubber end caps a leak can come from corrosion of the solder where the end of the pipes fit. I think this is more likely than a hole in

Re: [Amel] Out-haul gearbox for SM2K
Eric,
Wow! That was fast. Thank you. A couple of questions:
When you say "they ordered the parts", are you referring to Amel or Leroy Somer? Also, the reference to "roller bearings" is confusing
