Hi,
Quick question in looking at the Amel 53SM2K with the 6' 7" draft...wondering if this has limited any of you in where you can travel? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Pat, Good question. I'll explain why. There is a (nodal analysis) rule that says the sum of the electric currents entering a node equals the sum of the electric currents leaving a node.

Please consider starting a new thread wih a proper name.
But since we are here:
Atica (Amel 54) burns 9.2 liters per hour, average. In think this would be around 1.3 liters per mile. (700

Peter et al,
That's 1.34 X Square Root of LWL(in feet), so the 55 "max" hull speed would be 9.4Kts and the 54 would be 9.5 kts. That's using the Stationary water line if you're heeled over the

Bob,
Also, does this take into consideration the splitter is “powered” as opposed to a nonpowered splitter? The specs of the powered unit claim negligible insertion loss. I can’t imagine

Trying to summarize:
Receiving mode:
· General the splitter is splitting the signal to two (or more) receivers. If the signal that has been splittet up – is not amplified again

Bob, That's interesting, I was told there would be a loss by the rep. for Garmin , approx. 2db, which was their argument for a dedicated antenna. I just did not and still don't understand why you have

I use iNavx for AIS display and for charting. It is a great product. It will also display all of your instrument data if you also route that through wifi.

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Amel 54 and 55 measurements
Eric,
I'm fairly sure that there are 39 inches in a meter. So 17.2 x 39=670.8 inches divided by 12 for feet = 55.9 feet. I'm rather old fashioned in my maths! So I guess the deck length is 55.9
