Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Buying a 2000 or a Red Line edition SM
Same as Kent, have a 2000 Super Maramu (hull #289) with the volvo which won't go over 2300 rpm.
Turbo was just changed, but before (with frozen turbo) but I get over 5 kt at 1400 rpm and 7 kt at 1800

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Buying a 2000 or a Red Line edition SM
I have SM #243, 1999 "SuperMaramu2000" which I purchased in 2008. I had the Volvo 78HP and it was very adequate. I did have problems with getting it's rpm above 2200 as have many others with that

I think that each of us is going to support what we have...so far that is your result, and I am not going to change your results.
BeBe 387 is a 2003 SM and I believe the difference is worth it,

In answer to your question Riza has managed to fit 3 x 1580x808x50 solar panels on the arch, ie 3 x 200W (24 volts). This is 420mm wider and 260mm longer overall than the the previous versions

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: SV Libby and the Blueplanet Odyssey
Colin,
In 2011 we were in Cochin, India when we decided that the risks in the IO, GoA, and Southern Red Sea were too high. We put together the first of many transport ships to the Med from that area.
