I cut off about 4 feet of bad chain and had the good chain re galvanized. It cost me $200- US.
It came out better than new.

Dear Phil,
If the coupler bolts have sheared then it is certain that the rubber bushes inside the coupler will be destroyed and need replaced.

as far as I remember it is the same coupling on the Maramu (Vetus Flexcoupling model 6 35mm shaft (KO53)).
In case that's true I just wanted to let you know we have the coupling here as a spare

How do you remove the Prop shaft??

Unfortunately our prop shaft got bent upon hauling last week - long story but the lifting sling went under the prop. The bend is 15 thousandths (inch) which the local prop gurus say

The most important issue with 3/8" and/or 10mm chain is the "pitch" which is the length of the link. 3/8 chain comes in two different pitches and if you do not match the gypsy correctly, you will have
