If you have a Yanmar engine there is a heat exchanger on the starboard rail of the engine.
They are available from a company in Massachusetts for about $200-

Hello Duane,
the gearbox oil is probably going out through the heat exchanger. This is a tube where two hoses coming from the gearbox are connected.
To investigate, you could try to fill your gearbox

Wolfgang,
If your boat has both 110vAC and 220vAC,
Put the galvanic isolator on the shore side of the switch that chooses generator power over shore power. On Kristy SM243, 110vAC goes to a panel on

ZF Hurth Transmission troubles
We're new Amel owners, and on our first outing the transmission (ZF Hurth Model ZF25-2.8) lost it's oil. I'm a far cry from a mechanic but it appears there is a leak based on the small puddle of oil

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Weight/displacement
I think we are probably close to 20 tonnes judging by the position of the waterline, which is original, under water for the last 5m towards the stern.
Friends with a 54 told us that on the haulout
