Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] What Should the temp of the C-drive be while running?
I’m no Guru but an infrared thermometer is one of my favorite diagnostic tools as with all things that move, animate and inanimate, when things are not normal, the temps go either up or down.

Re: What Should the temp of the C-drive be while running?
One more piece of info: We're running at 2700 RPM because we're following Yanmar's instructions for the break-in period of the new engine. Apparently this new engine wants to be run at a higher RPM

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: Question regarding procedures for aligning engine on SM
Olivier, Thanks for your reply. It seems that everyone has first lifted the engine ,then the cradle and I can't help but think I'm missing something , but I cannot see why I need to detach the engine.

Re: Topping lift replacement
I have done it twice on a SM and both main and mizzen. It is straight forward. Use a piece of small line attaché to the bungee end near the mast so that you have a line to pull the new bungee end.

there aren't any hydraulics in your bow-thruster system.

Rudder stuffing box.
I had replaced the packing a few years ago and it seemed the tube that the nut screws into is just threaded fiberglass.
Am I mistaken?

What grease ?? Rudder post stuffing box moves?
What kind of grease have most of you been using?
I forgot what I used last time to grease the packing.
I was originally thinking of silicone.
