Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] hydro generator
Hey Danny, That's pretty cool, I will make a point of checking the amps during a full moon. The panels today are probably much more efficient than 30 years ago. Hope all is good down under. Regards to

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] hydro generator
Hi Pat, 30 years ago I put a solar panel on my then 30 foot yacht. At anchor in moonlight it produced enough current to make the bulb in a circuit tester light glow softly.
Cheers

Good morning Jamie,
talking about mast setting and rigging tuning, once tuned, the mast should be straight sideways, and from front to aft, but showing a permanent (while not sailing) slight bend

When I saw the different knob tops, I just assumed that someone in the Amel world was a pilot. It's a very common feature on more complex aircraft and there's actually some level of standardization

Well, at least its not dragging shark bait or fetching up Sargasso or kelp like a some systems. Fact is, Amels are floating power generators with sails attached. Gotta love it.

Alain,
We might have a slight angle on the shroud at the spreader as you suggest although it is quite hard to see. With the rigger we are going to loosen everything off and "start again" on the whole

Bill also gets my support.
There is enough to do to keep a Super Maramu well maintained.
In my case, the diesel cost is negligible compare to the cost of owning the vessel.

Ric, I assume while you are producing electric from the alternator ,it is inducing more drag than the prop freewheeling not producing electric. If you are saying that I did not need to remove it ,
