Hi Ben, Is your alternator a Balmar? If so I believe that it is externally regulated. I have experienced a couple of broken wires on my unit that were very easy to repair. They were not Balmar

24 volt charger on Yanmar quit working causing DC panel light to indicate fault
My engine quit charging house batteries. DC panel light is usually white (yellow) indicating engine driven charger is working . I noticed light went to a dim orange - indicating a fault - and engine

What a wealth of information Olivier,
Are you ever in the Caribbean?
I would love to hire you to go over my vessel one day!
I am learning so much every time you reply a question on the forum.
Thanks

Are the original genoa furler tangs from Amel straight or bent?
After a passage from the Chesapeake to Antigua in November, Aletes showed a 90 degree bend in the genoa hold down tang. This clearly

Thanks Barry for helping Peter. The labels on my knobs are completely worn off. I am planning a new microwave this year. Someone with a SM recommended a Panasonic unit. It looks great and fits fine in

Jamie,
It has twist knobs. I just really need to know which way to turn what knob to get Grill and which for microwave.

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] SSB Grounding
Paul,
Behind the chart table there is a green/yellow wire marked BLU. Without the SSB this cable is connected to the SSB grounding plate on the rudder and also to the ships boding system (zincs).
