Thanks for your reply. The starting battery (12 volt) has a small solar panel to trickel charge it while on the hard. Even so, for the few days we were in the yard I charged it with

in fact, you should adjust the tension on all halyards according to the wind conditions. The best way is to have a look at the luff (of each sail) when it is fully out and under load.

Think simple… if your engine starts then shuts down, it is likely a fuel problem.

What engine and alternator do you have?
When you put a multi meter across the alternator terminals you are also reading the house bank voltage
if I am not mistaken. You might just have a bad

Alternators are very rarely so destroyed that they can't be rebuilt far more economically that a replacement. Find a local alternator/starter rebuild shop. You'll find they can certainly test your
