Re: Ordering From Amel
Rick i'm going to do an order form Amel. I think the rings are less expensive from amel than the ones you had made...will your's last longer.
Aside from that, do you want me to order a bow thruster

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Boat battery charging using 220 VAC 60 Hz.
Hey Vladimir, when you get to Annapolis I will show you how I wired my boat for shore power connections. I can plug anywhere in the world basically. However, as all have righted noted, you cannot run

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Boat battery charging using 220 VAC 60 Hz.
Ann-Sofie,
Thanks a lot. I don't have a manual but I found lable on the box. It works at 50-60 Hz. No problems now.

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Boat battery charging using 220 VAC 60 Hz.
But be aware that the AC unit need new capacitors that works on 50/60 hz. You can not use the washing machine on 60 hz, you need to run the diesel generator to be able to use it. You can have problems

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: Safety hatches
Kent!
Don't see any problem assume the size of the hatches are the same,
The Stainless steel work by Emek is of good quality, and mounting is not very difficult unless you have problem to drill a hole

Can,t see any problem I assume all SM are identical with respect to hatches
Installation should be rather straight forward
We are very happy with the SS job they have done

Thanks again Paul. Can you think of any reason not to order these from Emek and install them myself?

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: Safety hatches
KentThe fixed one is "only" screwed into the side of the frame, but I still think it hold for a rather a good kick, the one that one can be open are bolted through so very strong, at least that part.

Thanks, Paul. Those are very nice looking! I guess they just screw into the cabin top from beneath, so not really strong if someone were to kick them from above?

Photos now posted, they might not have been added in a logical order, but I think you get the picture.
The locking is by a "spike" and a padlock. I hope the pictures speaks for them self.
