Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] B&G paddle wheel sensor discontinued part
Bob,
2 years ago a got a brand new paddlewheel sensor from B&G, I used it for 3 months and changed then the complete system to Raymarine. I would sell the "as new" B&G sensor, if you are interested

Another quality brand you could look at is Hellamarine that are made in New Zealand. I have a boat with them (not my Amel which is still like yours with converted LED globes).

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Recruiting Your Latest Thoughts on Interior Lights
Thanks Valdimir! I am going to try one of those for the light in the cockpit over the companionway. But at 145 lumens, I don’t think it’s going to cut it as a main saloon light.

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Recruiting Your Latest Thoughts on Interior Lights
I just found the manufacturer of LED light bulbs that can be red or whit depending on ON/OFF clicking.
MARINEBEAM is the manufacture of those light bulbs.

I think you are talking about these….

Two issues with those. One minor: flipping a switch twice every time I want a white

Bill,
I have tested a number of 2 conductor bayonet LED bulbs designed to fit the older style lights and found a lot of them that I didn’t like. I was very impressed however with the Marinebeam

There are LED light balbs that go from red to wight depending on how many times you turn the switch ON/OFF. I have it on my previous boat. I like it. I want to get it for the cabin dome light.

Hi Bill,
You should pull the trigger and buy the Alpenglow lights. We purchased 6 of the LED white/red fixtures for our boat a couple of years ago. Aft cabin, passage way to aft cabin, over nav
