Hello Jacob,
the solenoids for the genoa furler are in the front cabin, in the top portside cabinet. They are marked "FOC" which means "JIB". They are mounted aside the windlass solenoids.

A click from the solenoids with no action usually means the breaker has opened not allowing the electricity to the furling motor. As there were three major evolutions of the main sail furling system

Check you haven't fouled the code zero halliard, caught me out and cost me a bundle replacing a bird caged stay.

Hi Eric.
Thanks for that. I'll check there. So that would be all the way forward in the v-berth? I know there are some solenoids up there for the windlass.
Ours is an old Maramu, by the way, so

Re: Maramu mainsail furling issues
Thanks Bill.
I don't think the issue is the breaker, because I hear a clunk when I hit the switch, so I think the solenoid is firing. That said, I do not know where the breaker is. Can you tell me

Re: Increasing fuel capacity - Maramu #178
Just an addition, I think the Maramu and some of the older designs had the prop shaft generator, which, given fair winds, produces a fair amount of electricity en route.
I agree though about extra

The most common problem with new owners and electric furlers is a blown circuit breaker. Do you know where the breaker is for the Main Furler?

Does anyone know someone who can help sort out issues with the furler on our new-to-us Maramu in St Martin? It worked well during our sea-trial, but is now stuck furled to within about 1 meter of

The generator has my attention...again.
This morning it shut down with a "3" fault code, which the manual said requires service by trained personell. I then read there is a second level code accessed
