Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Bow Thuster Control Box
Ok a bit more clarification trying not to repeat myself. When the helm command is disconnected the ram can be lowered and raised directly from the power supply in the BT compartment. All three sensors

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Quantity and Type of Primary Rode
I'm happy with 300ft of G40 10mm chain. When I replaced the 15 year old chain (200ft) I added another 100ft. The added weight seems to improve motion when hard on the wind in a sea (less slamming).

[Amel Yacht Owners] Swimming platform
Hello,
We need to make some changes to our swimming platform.
Has anyone needed to/managed to separate the two pieces of fibreglass either side from the stainless steel frame? These seem to be glued

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: Balmar Smart Guage
Bill,
On my Santorin the house and start battery negatives are all connected but the bar..
Why would this be wrong? It gives me a reading for the separate batteries on my Mastervolt.

I installed an almost identical configuration as Mark did on Trillium. An Atlantic tower arch, davits, solar mounts with two LG310 watt panels from Platt

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: Balmar Smart Guage
The answer to your question, Eric, is no.
Ian, that bar connects all of the house batteries, not the start battery.

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Bow Thuster Control Box
Thanks Ryan,
I am not on the boat right now. The boat is new to me as well. Let me see if I have the workflow correct. When command 'up' the H light is off as ram is moving and lights when ram is in

Battery Charger Options
Good morning Crew, it would appear I may be up for a new Battery Charger. Any recommendations on make and model? I am looking along the possibility of a Victron Centaur Charger 24/60 unit.

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: Bow Thuster Control Box
Thank you Patrick,
Count me in for a spare "box of tricks". Maud told me the same thing. "No longer made". The circuit board seems a simple layout for the electrically inclined among us (not me). This

Good evening Chuck, assuming it’s the box of tricks not the limit switches, whilst I cannot help by way of providing you with a new box, a short while ago I contacted Olivier asking if he would

If the control system is acting like the thruster is already down, I'd suspect whatever sensor determines it is in the down position, not the controls/relays. You already said your up-sensor was not

Oops, typo. The T series pump is supposed to be rated at 300 GPH, not GPM, sorry for not proof reading my previous post more carefully.

Bow Thuster Control Box
Hi All,
I have been stricken with the dreaded bow thruster burn up! This has happened to a few of you so I am reaching out because we are stuck for a fix. The usual story - Hole in BT is sitting

Duane,
No, my boat still has the original Amel installed diaphragm pump. The T series pumps that I have had experience with were used for black water tank pump out. So far none of my customers

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Helm cover
In my case, in Nassau (and once I am done with all that, I will write down everything), the opposite insurance of the powerboat that lost control hit my bow (no damage at this point), then “panic”
