We installed the Atlantic Towers arch three years ago. Been very satisfied with it. But like others, not comfortable with the lateral sway. Using mostly standard rail hardware and a length of 1" SS

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Solar Panel Location
Hi,
With those tall arches and the tendency for sway I would be concerned about the stress on the fiberglass where the mountings are attached. That sway would translate into considerable lever action

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Quantity and Type of Primary Rode
I'm happy with 300ft of G40 10mm chain. When I replaced the 15 year old chain (200ft) I added another 100ft. The added weight seems to improve motion when hard on the wind in a sea (less slamming).

[Amel Yacht Owners] Swimming platform
Hello,
We need to make some changes to our swimming platform.
Has anyone needed to/managed to separate the two pieces of fibreglass either side from the stainless steel frame? These seem to be glued

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: Balmar Smart Guage
Bill,
On my Santorin the house and start battery negatives are all connected but the bar..
Why would this be wrong? It gives me a reading for the separate batteries on my Mastervolt.

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: Balmar Smart Guage
The answer to your question, Eric, is no.
Ian, that bar connects all of the house batteries, not the start battery.

Thanks Ryan,
I am not on the boat right now. The boat is new to me as well. Let me see if I have the workflow correct. When command 'up' the H light is off as ram is moving and lights when ram is in

Battery Charger Options
Good morning Crew, it would appear I may be up for a new Battery Charger. Any recommendations on make and model? I am looking along the possibility of a Victron Centaur Charger 24/60 unit.

If the control system is acting like the thruster is already down, I'd suspect whatever sensor determines it is in the down position, not the controls/relays. You already said your up-sensor was not
