Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: [Amel] Amel 54 Heating
Peter,
On my 53 Kimberlite we had a fresh air system that took fresh air from the cockpit and blew it into the aft cabin, the main cabin , and the forward cabin.
It was relatively easy to install

Oh, that is funny ‘target of opportunity’ is right! First hand knowledge. Sorry keep it technical.

Extra halyard???
I have an odd halyard that goes up to the first spreader. The previous owner had looped some heavy line around the lower spreaders and hung a block from it which has a halyard in it.
I don't know

Re: Hydra 2000 internal batteries
I just did Bill, thanks for the information. For the record Bill noted that the Wheelhouse Marketing in Ft. Lauderdale is a repair facility for B&G.

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Berth conversion
Having neither owned nor sailed a SM, but nevertheless a major Delos fan, I think the 54 berth situation is fantastic. Lee boards are terrific. We just sailed 8 nights and through some rough stuff.

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: [Amel] Amel 54 Heating
Peter,
They are speaking of the "Forced Air Ventilation." Look under your companionway steps between the first and second steps. Is there a round black plastic vent? If yes, you have it, if no, more

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Berth conversion
Icouldn't agree more with Joel. The Aft cabin of the 54 is one of our favoriteareas and has made the time on board a pleasure. We have not yet made any longdistance passages, so I cannot comment on

Hello Amel Folks. Chantiers Amel made one ( that I know of, maybe more ) Super Maramu with a truly centerline berth by robbing space from the aft deck locker and relocating the watertight bulkhead

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: [Amel] Amel 54 Heating
Peter,
Be careful in comparison of Amels that aren't exactly as your 54. And, it may be best to check with Amel. It would be much more pleasant to sail back to the tropics😀😀😀.
Best,
CW Bill
