Bob, As Bill stated I don't trust my engine temp gauge , with good reason. I had a mechanic install a new Volvo instrument panel, the new gauge was reading 225 F while the engine was at normal temps.

We have had a similar issue with our Passerelle when it first occurred we had the hydraulics checked all fine with a lot of corrosion X and a little elbow grease we were able to get it to swing out
