Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Bow-Truster overheat
Ruedi,
The Amel 54 Bow Thruster has an internal thermal switch (sometimes called thermal reset or thermal cutout). 10 - 15 minutes is a lot of use and will probably cause the thermal switch to open.

Re: Cam lock on main halyard?
Thank you Alan,
Yes the leech of the main is already in bad shape. It tends to fold over when furling. The last 2 or 3 feet don’t straighten out until sailing some distance. I’ve had the leech

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: Cam lock on main halyard?
Hi Peter,
I have vertical battens in the main and mizzen. As long as the boom is at 90d, furling hasn’t been a problem. Sail shape is significantly better than without them. I don’t know how

Thanks to all the people for the advice and congrats. It seems the Micron 77-stuff is the way forward.

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Finally a real forum member
Regarding Micron 77, in many (most?) parts of Europe it is no longer available having been replaced by Micron 350. We had Micron 350 applied (Micron 77 no longer available) in April, 2018 at Manoel

Hello Hanspeter
Agree absolutely..I don't see why one should connect the arch to the bonding system.

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: Cam lock on main halyard?
Hello Peter,
If you take the battens out of the sail you have and try to use it, it will be worse.
The standard main and mizzen sails on SMs have hollow leeches ie the line of the leech from the end
