Hi Arno,
I would not worry too much about your pollution level… the commercial ships never have barnacles or green on their hulls.
What do you think makes their AF so effective? Yet the regulators

I’m surprised you can still buy that stuff. It’s increadebly bad for the environment as it messes up the hormone-balance. In Europe it has been bannen for quite some years now. So no Tin-based a/f

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Bow-Truster overheat
Ruedi,
The Amel 54 Bow Thruster has an internal thermal switch (sometimes called thermal reset or thermal cutout). 10 - 15 minutes is a lot of use and will probably cause the thermal switch to open.

Thank you Alan,
Yes the leech of the main is already in bad shape. It tends to fold over when furling. The last 2 or 3 feet don’t straighten out until sailing some distance. I’ve had the leech

Hi Peter,
I have vertical battens in the main and mizzen. As long as the boom is at 90d, furling hasn’t been a problem. Sail shape is significantly better than without them. I don’t know how

Regarding Micron 77, in many (most?) parts of Europe it is no longer available having been replaced by Micron 350. We had Micron 350 applied (Micron 77 no longer available) in April, 2018 at Manoel
