Volvo MDI issues USA

I do not know what the factory originally did on my boat. Those bolts have been pulled out and reinstalled several times with the installation of new engine mounts, alignments and other maintenance

Absolutely! Loose coupling bolts can do the same thing. I should have thought of that!

I agree with your post. I have also found that it is not uncommon to find loose coupling bolts and agree this is something to check on a regular basis. I have had good results using Nylocs
