AIS only show you large ships and you will miss smaller boats not transmitting AIS. A modern radar with high resolution and display at the helm where can set proximity alarms is

It is true that two wider seals will fit, but you will lose the double protection of losing oil that was designed by Amel.

AR stands for arriere/the rear in French. The one up in the forecabin says AV which stands for avant/ before or in front in French.
