Re: Delos series 205?
Yes, I did see errors in the Delos video. Thank you for pointing out this video otherwise I would not have known about it and would have missed an opportunity to view any part of the video.

Re: Storm tactics
How did you have the drogue attached when you had that experience? I'm trying to envision how the mizzen shrouds would be involved.

We just overnighted at Hancocks. Indeed, the Cohansie is generally very deep. Charts do not indicate depths. While pretty close to the center of the river, we did run aground, needed to kedge off. But

From day one, I have been against sea anchors. Being that they are launched from the bow , you are basically going backwards or standing still.
I was always concerned about the forces on the rudder

Hey Eric--
Did you add chain plates to attach the drogue? If not, where and how do you attach it? Have you ever had to use it?
Thanks,

Re: Amel is going lithium
Mark,
If you look at Dessalator specs you'll see that it does operate much more efficiently at 24v vs 220v.

Re: Amel is going lithium
Nick,
I can and have run the hot water heater on battery. It's only 700w so similar to the water maker, but of course 220v so inverter inefficiencies come into play.
To clarify, I can do all of those
